Overview

• I completed eight courses, developed by Google, that include hands-on, practice-based assessments and am ready for entry-level roles in Cybersecurity.
• Gained basic proficiency in Python, Linux, SQL, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) tools and know how to identify common cybersecurity risks, threats and vulnerabilities as well as mitigation techniques.

Technical Skills

• Gained a foundational understanding of cybersecurity, including:
  • The impact of security attacks on businesses
  • Essential skills for entry-level analysts,
  • CISSP security domains and frameworks, familiarity with common tools, and an awareness of security ethics.
  • Learned about security frameworks and controls, the CIA triad, and the NIST framework
  • Gained practical experience in conducting security audits and utilizing a playbook for effective threat response.
  • Learned the lifecycle of an incident and the tools necessary for documentation, detection, and management.
  • Practiced querying Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (Chronicle) for event investigation.
